The CARE installation is conceived by Valeria Apicella and organized
by the cultural association residenza 3.14.

The project is promoted and financed by the Comune di Napoli
as part of the program of Arte Contemporanea 2024.

We are Valeria Apicella and Cyril Béghin and all the artists who gravitate to and create fragments of our discourse.
We are contemporary artists dedicated to the poetic search for what transcends the body in its infinite forms and manifestations. The search that moves and drives us is for an art that contemplates shared experience, that contemplates emptiness, listening to presence as strength and richness, art forms that are from time to time innovative propositions, as unaccustomed as the journey to the self is.

There is space, performance, installation, video, writing.
At the root is an ancestral, primitive and sacred force: dance.
My art is born from the body and dance and walks beyond to transcend the movement of the body and the common expectation of an image.
From Paris we chose Naples today as the place of our research.
Inside our studio, puntozerovaleriapicella, it is me, it is you, it is us, you, a set of events, friends, residencies, workshops, proposals. We are the desire to do with others, to bring together and aggregate through culture and value creation.

We created the cultural association Residency 3.14 in 2016 to produce, promote and disseminate works, events and projects related to our founding values:
the body as an essential articulation ;
empty space as the principle of visibility ;
simplicity of materials as necessary humility ;
human regeneration as a condition of community.

The association specifically manages the activities of puntozerovaleeriaapicella, an independent space for interdisciplinary artistic and cultural research, under the direction of Valeria Apicella.
One enters by taking off one’s shoes, leaves by putting them back on, and in that time something always happens. A place of possibility, of inspiration, of initiation. The puntozero is an original concept where experimentation, creativity, awareness and welcoming are combined.
The puntozerovaleriaapicella was born in 2020 at the end of the renovation works of a former wing of the great 16th-century cloister of Santa Caterina a Formiello, inside the former Bourbon Bakery, in the Porta Capuana area of Naples. The architectural restoration is an integral part of the artistic project, realizing the vision of an empty space that is at the center of our research. The large room is a studio designed for contemporary body research.
In addition to its own performance and installation creations, supported by various local institutions (City of Naples, Campania Teatro Festival, Capodimonte Museum), the exchange with the team of artists who collaborate with the space investigates new forms of interdisciplinarity and high education.
The Body Art project is one of the hearts of puntozero, declined in various proposals: Word Body Art, a cycle of interviews with artists; Kids Body Art, a cycle of master classes for children; Silent Movie, a cycle of film programming with live music in “silent” headphones; Genius Call, a cycle of lectures.
Puntozero is also an ideal venue for entrepreneurial meetings and special events, outdoor experiences, team building and personal coaching sessions.
